BioI am Fleetwood Mac. Well not really, but I did write a string of 70's and 80's hits and build up a cocaine habit while flailing around in a gypsy dress... Ok, I'm not Stevie Nicks either. The lies must stop. My karmic debt is increasing by the second. Well it would do if I believed in karma, rather than hubris and divine phthonos. In between my time at Corpus Christi College, Cambridge and the Sidgwick site (the holy house of learning: the faculty of faculties, the earthly avatar of Classics) I'm just your regular four-hundred year old Habsburg hating Pope. No one ever expects the Roman Inquisition. Or perhaps a student; who knows? When I'm not immersing myself in Vergil or Herodotus, or the absolute joys of Tacitus, I like to waste my time drinking, reading, wasting money, attempting world revolution, watching Xena and laughing as hard as I can. And in a semi-sequitur fashion, anyone who has ever thought it was exceedingly rude of Asimov, Herbert, Murdoch and Larkin to die before I met them is a friend to me. Political heroes include Alexander, Augustus, Charlemagne, Napoleon, Lenin, Trotsky and let's not forget Golda Meir. I think it's safe tosay Frank Herbert has warped my fragile little mind with his beautiful feudalistic narratives. Vote Liberal Autocrat. Oh, and don't even think of talking your Protestant Justification by Faith Alone, or Predestination crap to me; it's all about the Pelagian Heresy. Ahem.
